The two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Hadsell died Tuesday morning of scarlet fever. Burial took place last evening at the Overackers Cemetery. Two members of the bereaved family are critically ill with the same disease.  [died June 13]

Mrs. Belle Parsons Ferguson,  Rushvllle, Apr. 12 - Mrs.Belle Parsons Ferguson died Thursday, April 7th at Willard State Hospital, aged 73 years. She had been a lifelong resident of this community until four years ago when failure of her mental faculties made her removal to the hospital necessary.

Mrs. Ferguson was born near Penn Yan, a daughter of Charles and Lucretta Parsons Bell.  Her mother died at her birth and she was adopted by her mother's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alanson Parsons of Rushville and from her birth until many years after her marriage to J. Monroe Ferguson her home was the Parsons farm now owned by A. D. Bates. 

Mr. Ferguson died six years ago. Mrs. Ferguson was a member of the organized classes of 1869-72 of Rushville School, being one of the Original Ten who founded the organization thirty years ago, and she- worked for the welfare and growth as its secretary for several years, 

Her nearest surviving relatives are nieces and nephews.  The body was brought to Rushville where funeral services were held from the Johncox funeral home Saturday afternoon, Rev. R. L. Wyrick, pastor of  Rushville Methodist church of which she had been a member many years, officiating. Burial was made at Overackers Cemetery.

Hold Inquest in Yates Man's Death -   

PENN YAN  Coroner's inquest into the death of Albert Goelz,74-year-old Middlesex farmhand, was held Monday morning at Middlesex with Dr. P.M. Chaffee, of Middlesex, conducting the investigation, assisted by District Attorney Homer C. Pelton of Penn Yan.

Witnesses examined were William Cleveland, store cleric of Middlesex, son of the owner of the property on whose land the log cabin of Goelz was located; and Koel Schuler, Middlesex painter who was with Goelz preceding and at the time of his death. Testimony of Fred Guyle, New York State Trooper, also was taken.

Trooper Guyle is in charge of the investigation into the death of Goelz, who died while having a neighborly visit with Schuyler at the Goelz cabin Saturday night midnight. The inquest is held open to obtain the testimony of other witnesses.  (other articles about Mr. Goelz in same paper)

Mrs. Mary  L. Fountain, 75, formerly of Canandaigua, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George H. LaDue of Middlesex, early Sunday morning, February 4, 1940. Mrs. Fountain had been in failing health for many weeks. She was the widow of William Fountain, formerly of Vine Valley, who passed away in 1926.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. George H. LaDue; a step-son, Charles A. Fountain of Middlesex; several nieces, nephews, grand children and great grandchildren. 

Private services will be held from the home of her daughter at 2 o'clock on Tuesday, the Rev. L.A. Barnes of Middlesex Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will be made in Overacker cemetery.

Mrs. Minnie Francisco - RUSHV1LLE - Mrs. Minnie A. Francisco, 86. died yesterday in the Canandaigua Health Home after a long illness.  Friends may call at the Hobart Funeral Chapel from 7 to 9 tonight and from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9pm, tomorrow. 

Funeral services will be at 2  p.m. Wednesday in the Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John D. Wilcox, pastor of the Rushville Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Overacker cemetery.

Mrs. Francisco was born in the in the town of Middlesex on Feb. 20, 1876, the daughter of Wilbur and Ida French Lafler.  She married Robert Francisco, Jan 2, 1901, and they made their home on a farm in the town of Middlesex.  He died in 1942.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Charles Sturm, and two sons, Guy and Howard, all of Middlesex, RD; one sister, Mrs. Allen Harrison of Rushville; two grandsons; four great granddaughters, and one great grandson.
