Mrs. Sarah Crawford died at the home of her son Friday, May 18th, 1900, at the advanced age of eighty-two years and forty-one days. She was the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Barney and was born in Barrington, Yates county, NY, being one of a large family of children, of whom only three survive her, Mrs. Nancy Drake, of Fowler, Mich., aged ninety-seven years, William Barney, of Burns, N. Y., aged seventy-nine years, and Mrs. Betsey Edmonds, of Cohocton, N. Y., aged seventy years. Two sons also survive her, Clark, with whom she lived, and Edward, both of the town of Burns, besides a wide circle of relatives and friends. Being of a Christian spirit, she was highly respected by all. The funeral was held at the Methodist Episcopal church, Canaseraga, Sunday at two p. M., Rev. Q. W. Adams officiating.

Boy Drowns at Penn Yan - PENN YAN, N. Y., Aug. 26 - Warren Sisson, 15 year old son of John Sisson, of Barrington, Yates county, was drowned at Penn Yan yesterday afternoon. The lad was in a boat with three girls. When well out in the stream, he threw the oars overboard and jumped from the boat after them. His body has not been recovered.

The death of Mrs. Eunice Chapman occurred at the home of her son in law, Simon Stahl, Sunday last, and the burial was at Sugar Hill on Wednesday. Rev. H. B. Reddick officiating. The deceased was born in Barrington, Yates County, in 1824 and was the widow of Elisha Chapman.

FUNERAL OF MRS. SARAH CONKLIN
Canandaigua, Nov. 8 - The funeral of Mrs. Sarah C. Conklin, widow of the late William H. Conklin, of Clifton Springs, who died at the Thompson hospital, Saturday, was held yesterday afternoon.
The deceased, who was 81 years old, had resided with her daughter, Mrs. Dunreath Powelson, on Chapin street, for the past dozen years, was taken ill a month ago with a complication of heart and other ailments. A few days before her death, she was removed to the Thompson hospital. Deceased spent most of her life in Barrington, Yates county.
Her husband died at Clifton Springs, nine years ago. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Powelson of this village, deceased is survived by two sons, William of Shortsville and Edward of Clifton Springs, and one brother, John Tunison of Hastings, Mich., and one sister, Mrs. Susan Williams of Adrian, Mich.

Penn Yan, Aug. 19 - Mr. and Mrs. George Andrews of Barrington, Yates County, have just celebrated the fifty-fourth anniversary of their marriage, the event occurring on the same day as the anniversary of the seventy-fifth birthday of Mr. Adams. The occasion was a pleasure to the large gathering, which was composed of some thirty children and grandchildren.
The children united in purchasing for their parents a handsome present, which was responded to by Mr. Andrews in a gift of $5 each to his children and a lesser amount to each of his grandchildren.
Included in the refreshments were a liberal supply of perfectly sound apples that were gathered with the crop of last year. Mr. and Mrs. Andrews are still blessed with good health and their children hope to enjoy many more occasions of a similar nature.

WELKER - Olney Welker died in Barrington, Tuesday, August 20, 1907, after a long illness, aged 51years.
EDINGTON - Mrs. James Edington died at her home in Lakemont, Monday, Aug 19, 1907, aged 52 years. Death resulted from tuberculosis.

The residents of the town of Dix and the community in general have sustained another severe loss in the death of Mrs. William C, Palmer, which occurred at her home on May 7th. She had not been in the best of health through the winter, but nothing serious was anticipated until about two weeks before her death, when she was suddenly stricken with an acute heart difficulty, and sank gradually to her death.
Mrs. Palmer was born in Barrington, Yates county, February 24, 1839, and moved to the town of Dix in 1854. There she has resided ever since, with the exception of a five year sojourn in Waterloo, Iowa. On December 1st, 1864, she was united in marriage with William C. Palmer, who survives her.
The funeral services were held on Sunday, May 10th, at 2:30 p. m., at her late residence by Rev. S. L. Haynes, and the interment was in Glenwood cemetery, Watkins.

Joel Swarthout - The subject of this sketch was born in Barrington, Yates county, N.Y., April 10, 1837, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Fred Raplee, in Himrod, N. Y. He was one of a family of eight children of James Swartout and Maria Wright.
On March 25, 1860, he was united in marriage with Elizabeth S. Rogers, daughter of the late Dr. E. W. Rogers, of Crystal Springs. Two children blessed this union one daughter, Helena, now Mrs. Raplee, and one son, James Emerson, who died in infancy.
Mr. Swarthout was a kind, Christian man, one who won the esteem of those with whom he had occasion to meet. He was a kind and obliging neighbor and will be greatly missed in this community. Besides his wife and daughter, the deceased is survived by one grandson, D. J. Raplee, of Himrod; three brothers, Henry, of Colden, N. Y., Byron, of Princeton, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. A. R. Griswold, also of Princeton, Ill.
The funeral was held from the late home on Sunday. A cousin of the deceased, Rev. Leon L. Swarthout, of , Lima, N. Y., officiated. Interment in Hillside cemetery, Dundee, N. Y.

W. B. BOYD DIES FROM PARALYSIS - Salt Manufacturer Passes Away After Short Illness - Over 80 years of Age
Native of Barrington, Yates County, and a Resident of Geddes Since 1875 -- Funeral Tomorrow.
William B. Boyd of Solvay. whose illness was announced in The Post Standard, yesterday morning, died yesterday afternoon at his home, No. 1117 Milton avenue, after a short illness. He was 85 year of age and is, known as one of the most prosperous salt manufacturers who has maintained that business near Syracuse during late years.
Mr. Boyd suffered a stroke of paralysis Wednesday evening, from which he did not recover. Mr. Boyd was born at Barrington, Yates County, March 28, 1824. He was educated at Franklin Academy and at the age of 18, engaged in the mercantile trade at Prattsburg, Steuben County.

for twelve years and then engaged in traffic in grain and wool, in which he was quite a heavy operator. About 1858, he acquired an interest in the solar salt business and continued in the manufacturing of solar salt, until his death, owning and operating the "Boyd" solar salt yard, in the town of Geddes.Active in Public Life -
Mr. Boyd was postmaster of Pratttsburg from the years 1849 - 1853, under the Whig administration. He was a member of Assembly from Steuben county in 1866 and 1867; and from 1872 - 1874, was sheriff of that county. In 1875 he removed from Bath, Steuben county, to Geddes (now Solvey), where he had since resided.
Upon the corporation of the Village of Solvay, Mr. Boyd was elected a trustee, a position to which he was re-elected, several times. He was President of the Board of Education of the Town Geddes and later, for a number of years was president of the same board in the Village of Solvay During his term of office, two of the present large school houses were erected, a matter which he took great interest and greatly furthered.
Since 1875, Mr. Boyd had been a trustee of the Onondaga Course Salt Association, and as late as Tuesday last, presided on this meeting of the Board of Trustees.
Engaged nearly 50 years in the manufacture of solar salt, his experience and knowledge were of value to his associates. He was a Republican in politics, in which, as in all affairs, offering the welfare and the government of the opportunity he always took a deep interest in and an active part.
Built Up the Boyd Tract -
Mr. Boyd opened and largely built up the Boyd tract in the Village of Solvay, so that it has become a considerable, part of the residential section of that village.
His business interests maintained up to the day of his death, his active interest in all that affected human affairs, his sterling integrity, sturdy honesty and charitableness gave him a leading place in the community.
Mr. Boyd is survived by his two daughters, Mrs. James Barney of Prattsburg and Mrs. William G. Cady of this city, and a son, William W. Boyd of Alexandria, S.D.
Funeral services will be held at his late residence in the Village of Solvay, tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock.

DEATHS - MCDOWELL - At Willard state hospital, July 10, 1909, Mathew Dowell. Burial in Elmira. Deceased was born in Barrington, Yates county. He was a wagon maker. He married Mary Darrin, who died in January, 1905. Three sons and two daughters survive Mr. McDowell.

TRIED TO SAVE LITTLE GIRL -
Man Who Could Not Swim Dove In After Her and Was Drowned -Penn Yan, NY, Aug. 28 - Ray McDowell of Barrington, Yates county, was drowned in Lake Keuka. He was in a boat near Plaisteds Point with the little daughter of George Dewort when the little girl fell overboard.
McDowell, who could not swim, dove in after her and never came to the surface. A small boy who was bathing nearby rescued the little girl.
This makes the sixth drowning in Lake Keuka this year.
Ray McDowell of Barrington, Yates county, was drowned yesterday in Keuka lake while trying to save his daughter, who fell overboard from a boat.

Marriage Announced - Penn Yan, April 28 - Announcement has just been made of the marriage of Mrs. Margaret Louise Yawger of Rochester, NY, and Edgar Munson Rutledge of Barrington, Yates County, in Rochester, Thursday afternoon, April 14th.
The ceremony was performed by Rev. Charles H. Bust, pastor of the Second Baptist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Rutledge will reside in Barrington.

In Surrogate's Court - Wednesday letters testamentary were issued on the estate of Ransom Guile, late of Barrington, to his son, Earl Guile, who is the chief beneficiary. His portion consists of $500 in personal property and $2,000 in real estate. Two daughters, Jane Guile Kelly and Nettie Guile Wortman, receive $300 and a cow. Ernest G. Denniston, grandson, received $100 and a cow. The use of thirty acres during his life, is left to a son, Orren, who is also given a cow. Earl Guile is bequeathed a farm of 93 acres.
Letters of administration issued to James C. Goodspeed on the $500 personal estate of Harland P. Sturdevant, late of Jerusalem. The realty is valued at $500. M. Alice Sturdevant, daughter and only heir.
Will of Sarah A. Orr, late of Benton, admitted to probate; $200 personal; $500 real.

The death of Willis Swarthout recently occurred in Fenton, Mich. He was born in the town of Barrington, Yates county, in 1828, a son of George F. and Rowena Russell Swarthout. He was related to General Swarthout, a soldier of the Revolution. The deceased was one of ten children. He was a man of education and was a leader among men in that part of the state of Michigan. Before going there he taught school in Milo, Tyrone and Wayne. He leaves his third wife, two brothers, John and Herman Swarthout, of this village, a sister, Mrs. Nancy A Clark of Dresden and a son, G.E. Swarthout of West Virginia.

Mrs. Sarah A Hancock, an old and respected resident of Hemlock, died at her home in that village yesterday morning, after an illness of nearly a year, at the age of 84. Mrs. Hancock, whose maiden name was Sarah TerBush, was born in Barrington, Yates county, and was married to George Andruss of Canadice July 11, 1844. and lived in that town until 1881.
Mr. Andruss died April 2,1870. In December, 1880 she was again married to the Rev. R. T. Hancock of Hemlock, and went to that place to reside soon after, which had since been her home. Mr. Hancock died in 1888.
She was the last of a family of ten children. She is survived by one son. Dr. C. J. Andruss of Canandaigua. and three daughters. Esther Andruss and Mrs. J. W. Beam of Hemlock and Mrs. George H. Nelson of Watertown. The funeral will be held from her late home Saturday at 10 o'clock and the burial will be in Canandaigua.

Death Resulted From Burns - Cyrus Lawrence, a prominent farmer of the town of Barrington, Yates county, died Sunday morning as the result of burns which he received on the morning of July 10th, when he was carrying a boiler of hot brine into the cellar. He was walking down the steps backwards when a step broke, throwing the brine on on to him, and scalding over half his body.
Notwithstanding these serious and painful burns he was doing nicely until his heart gave out under the strain. Mr. Lawrence had for the past forty-five years been one of the leading farmers of Barrington. The deceased was a brother of Mrs. E. K. MacDowell of Montour Falls.

Charles M. Swarthout, who died at his home here recently, was the son of Jacob S. and Catherine Swarthout, and was born in Barrington, Yates county, May 29, 1833. He was married to Miss Sarah Burgess, daughter, of Urial and Catherine Morrison, of Youngstown, Niagara county, February 27, 1856.
Mr. and Mrs. Swarthout lived at Reading Center a few years and then moved to Watkins and from there to Livonia in 1881. Four years ago they came to Honeoye to live.
Mr. Swarthout was a harness maker by trade but his eyesight had been so poor that he had not been able to work for some years. He served in the civil war as a member of the 149th New York Infantry. He came of a patriotic family, as his father served in the war of 1812 and his grandfather was in the Revolutionary war. He was a member of the Livonia G. A. R. and a member of the Baptist church at Reading Center.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Arthur Swarthout and George Edson Swarthout, and one grandson, Bayard Swarthout, all of Rochester.
The funeral was held at the family residence here, the Rev. Walter Hawthorne officiating, and the burial was Union cemetery, Livonia.

ANDREWS - In Seneca, Ontario County, June 29, 1914, John Andrews, aged 80 years. He leaves three brothers, George, of Barrington, Yates County, William, of Geneva; and Henry, of Los Angeles, Cal., and two sisters, Mrs. Eliza Moore, of Penn Yan, and Miss Erma Andrews, of Bellona. Mr. Andrews came to this country from England in 1853 and had always lived on the farm where he died.

Penn Yan, N. Y., July 3, Lewis Sunderlin, president of the Sunderlin company, jewelers, Rochester, yesterday celebrated his eighty-eighth birthday. Mr. Sunderlin was born in Barrington, Yates county, in 1827. His parents moved to Tyrone six years later. At the age of twelve years he, showed an interest in repairing clocks, and at fifteen years his father purchased him an outfit and he entered the business as an itinerant clock mender. In 1846 he entered the employment of L. O. Dunning at Penn Yan and received instruction in other branches of jewelers' work. Then he went to New York and took lessons of a famous English watch and chronometer maker. In 1850 he returned to Penn Yan and formed a partnership with his former employer, L. O. Dunning, which continued until 1864 when he went to Rochester.

NORRIS - In Dundee, February 14, 1916, Cornelius M. Norris, aged 47 years. He died at the home of his sister, Mrs. Lida McNeil. Mr. Norris was born February 20, 1869, in Barrington. He had always resided in this vicinity. Mr. Norris is survived by his wife and one son, Stanley Norris, also two sisters, Mrs. Allen Strawway and Mrs. Lida McNeal, both of Dundee, and one brother, Edgar Norris, of Tyrone.
BAILEY - In Barrington, February 15, 1916, Dorothy Bailey, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin J. Bailey, aged 15 years. She leaves her parents and two sisters, Frances and Louise. Pneumonia caused death. Her mother was sick with the same malady at the time of the daughter's death.

HIMROD, N. Y. - Mary Jane Campbell was born in the town of Barrington, Yates County, N. Y., on the 29th day of August, 1843. She was the daughter of James and Nellie Campbell, and had resided nearly all her life in Yates county.In her girlhood she united with the Baptist church of Italy Hill, and years later her membership was transferred to the First Baptist church of Himrod. For fifty-three years she has been a steadfast and devoted follower of Christ. Her's was a beautiful Christian life. Every day she thought of and served her Lord and Master. She went to Jesus with all her troubles and she consulted Him in every undertaking.
On the 6th day of August, 1864, she was united in marriage to Charles H. Inscho, and they had a happy and ideal life until June, 1911, when her husband was taken from her. Since then, she has merely been waiting for the summons to join him.
She leaves one son, H. Orville Inscho, of Himrod, and a daughter, Mrs. Anna I. Weel, of New York City, and four brothers, Hiram, of Prattsburg, George, of Coffeyville, Kansas; Frank, of Potter, and Thomas W., of Branchport. She also leaves ten grandchildren, all of whom will miss her and mourn her loss.

Last Saturday's Rochester Post Express said: In answer to a writ obtained by Martin V. Mosher of Barrington, Yates county, Mrs. Frances Mary Huxley appeared in a special term of Supreme court this morning to petition through her attorney, Edwin C. Redfern, for a week's delay in which to prepare her answer to the charge of abduction brought against her by Mr. and Mrs. Mosher.
Mrs. Huxley is accused in the complaint of Mosher of having abducted his child which he claims as his through adoption. The child is a daughter of Mrs. Huxley by a former marriage and she claims that when the child was adopted by the Moshers, she herself was, not of legal age and the contract is void.
Judge Benton, who presided, ordered Redfern to file his answer today and the matter will be argued later Mrs. Huxley in the meanwhile will keep the child with her. Gladys, the little daughter in the case, was with her mother in court this morning. When her foster father passed by her seat he looked in vain for an answering smile to his greeting.
Little Gladys turned her head resolutely away and refused to look at him. Later, when she seemed to feel that he was out of the room, she snuggled up closely to her mother.

Mr. Lewis Sunderlin, of Rochester, a leading citizen and president of the Sunderlin Co., jewelers, was 89 years old Monday. Mr. Sunderlin was born in Barrington, Yates county, in 1827. Six years later his parents moved to Tyrone. At the age of 12 years he showed aptitude at repairing clocks, and when he was 15, his father purchased an outfit for him and he began business as an itinerant clock mender.
In 1846 he entered the employ of L.O. Dunning of Penn Yan, and received instruction in other branches of a jeweler's work.. Then he went to New |York and took lessons of a famous English watch-maker. He still keeps the Swiss jeweler's lathe which was purchased for him by this instructor.
In 1850 Mr. Sunderlin returned to Penn Yan and formed a partnership with his former employer, L. O. Dunning, and this continued until 1864, when Mr. Sunderlin moved to Rochester.

STRAWWAY - At the home of her daughter in Barrington, January 22, 1917, Mrs. William Strawway, aged 80 years. She was born in Barrington. She leaves one daughter, Mrs. Edward Tripp, and a son, Bert Strawway, of Savona. Her maiden name was Martha McConnell, and she was a sister of the late Eli McConnell, of Penn Yan. The funeral was held Wednesday. Burial in Wayne.

James M. Smith, eighty years old. died at his home on Stark avenue, in this village, Tuesday night. He was born in the town of Barrington, Yates county and has always been a resident of this county. Mr. Smith was a veteran of the civil, war, having served three years in Company 13, 148th New York volunteers. He served as deacon of the Baptist church, in this village, for thirty-five years and at the time of his death was senior deacon. He leaves his wife and one daughter, Helen, of Ames, Iowa. Funeral services were held on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the late residence. Burial in Lake View cemetery, Penn Yan.

WOMAN LIVED A CENTURY - Miss Elizabeth Millis of the Waterloo Road, Dies at the Age of 100 Years
Miss Elizabeth Millis, aged 100 years and five months, died this morning at the home of her brother, William H. Millis, three miles east of Geneva on the trolley line. Miss Millis was born in Columbia County, July 8, 1819 and moved with her parents in the spring of 1820 to Barrington, Yates County, residing there until 1871 and then moving to Dundee. In this place her home was burned and she came to Waterloo where she has since made her home with her brother.
Miss Millis was the oldest of eight children. For many years she was a member of the M- E. Church of Dundee. Her many friends called her "Aunt Betsy" and will miss her greatly as she was a woman loved by all who knew her.
Her only survivor is her brother, at whose home the funeral will he held on Saturday morning at 10 o'clock with a service at the M. E. Church in Dundee at 1 o'clock. Rev. E. B. Topping of this city will officiate and burial will be made in Dundee.

Meli Todd Ovenshire, son of Samuel and Sophia Ovenshire, was born in Barrington, Yates county, New York, August 14, 1836. He was the third of nine children, all of whom had passed on before him. He was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church in Hammondsport in 1854. On July 4, 1861, he was married to Mary Elizabeth Scofield, who still survives. In September 1861, they with the brother, entered the Seminary at Lima, N. Y. He remained there for three years, one in this Seminary and two in Geneseo College which since has been removed to Syracuse, NY and is now at Syracuse University, of which institution his granddaughter, Miss Laura Ovenshire, is a recent graduate. Although his health declined under the strain of student life, he received a New York State Certificate on January 25, 1864, and on November 1st of that year, went to Cato, as a teacher. He went from there to Sterling Center, where he taught winters and worked on farms, summers until June 1867.
They then, with their two children, Fred and Belle, the latter of whom died August 11, 1902, and came to the farm of Mr. Washington, where they have since resided most of the time. He continued to teach winters for several years and worked on his farm summers. The last three winters were spent in Bradford, NY, at the home of his son, F. C. Ovenshire, where he peacefully breathed his last, on Sunday morning, March 9, 1919.
He was up in his chair the day before his death, but had been rapidly failing in strength for the three weeks preceding. - Hammondsport Herald.

The death of George Auble occurred at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ellsworth Fenton of Burdett, where he had lived for the past three years, on Feb. 9th, at the age of 88 years. He was born in Barrington, Yates County and is the last of ten children born to John and Mary Mount Auble.
At 21 years of age, his parents went to Covert, Seneca County, and from there to the farm one mile east of Logan where he lived until four years ago, when he sold his farm to George Goens, the present possessor.
On February 11, 1874, he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Huston. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, Mrs. Smith Clawson of Valois and Mrs. Ellsworth Fenton of Burdett and five grandchildren; Mrs. Ralph Ely, Howard, Ray and Roy Fenton and Lewis B. Clawson.
The funeral was held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fenton, Rev. R. C. Shergur officiating and interment in Hector Union Cemetery on the 46th anniversary of his marriage.
He was a powerful man physically and of unusual industry, not relinquishing his labors until the infirmities of age compelled him to do so. He was a man of good principles and of the strictest integrity. He was greatly devoted to his home, which was his castle. He was a loving husband, and a kind father and his surviving wife will deeply feel the loss of a kind and faithful husband.

Irene B. White - Irene Elizabeth Swarthout was born in the town of Barrington, Yates County, May 9, 1741. She was the oldest of ten children born to Herman C. Swarthout and Sarah A. Monroe Swarthout.
When a young girl, her parents moved to Irelandville, this county, and it was in the home there that she was united in marriage, on Oct. 27, 1868, to Horace Lot White, son of Rev. and Mrs. William E. White of this village. They went to housekeeping here and have always resided here.
To them were born four children: Herbert Lee and Grace Lovisa of the home; Helen Genevieve, wife of Geo. S. Coon of Ithaca, and Horace Ray, of this village. The husband pre-deceased his wife to the Life Beyond, six years ago, July 9, 1914.
A woman's love and devotion to the home and loved ones, has never been more perfectly exemplified than in the subject of this sketch. The interests of the home were always first and foremost with her, even ahead of those of her church, of which and its Missionary Society, she had been a faithful member for many years. Mrs. White was a woman of great faith and noble character. She particularly abhorred idle and malicious gossip. She often spoke her belief that if a person couldn't speak well of another, he might much better keep still.
Besides the four children, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. M. A. Billings of Brainerd, Minn., and three brothers: Charles B., and Fred R. Swarthout of Cushing, Oklahoma and Asa D. Swarthout of Valparaiso, Ind., and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
The funeral service was held in the home, Tuesday afternoon, October 12th, her pastor, Rev. A. B. Herr, of the Presbyterian Church officiating with burial in the family plot in Glenwood.
Her death occurred early Saturday morning, October 9th, as the result of a fall that she had seven weeks before. She was patient all through her suffering and was thoughtful of those that cared for her.

Mrs. Nora Kinyourn - Penn Yan, Mar. 21 - Mrs. Nora Klnyoun died at her home on upper Seneca street Thursday evening after a brief illness, aged seventy-six years. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James Bolan, of the town of Torrey, Yates county, and Mrs. Thomas Owens, of the township of Barrington, Yates county.
The funeral services were held from her late home yesterday afternoon and the interment was in the family plot In the Lake View Cemetery, of this village.

Mrs. A. Babcock - HAMMONDSPORT, Mar. 2, Mrs. A. Babcock died at the home of her grandson, Lorenzo Davison, Saturday, February 25, aged 86 years. She was born in the town of Barrington, Yates county. For many years she lived at Weston, coming here three years ago, where she had made her home with her grandson.
Mrs. Babcock was the last one of her family to die; her nearest surviving relatives being 11 grandchildren. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.
Prayer was offered at the Davison noon at 3 o'clock, the Rev. A. C. Horsman, Monday at noon, and funeral services were held from the Weston church. Burial was made in the Tyrone cemetery.

The death of Mrs. Nettie O. Brown occurred at her home in Altay, April 16, 1926, at the age of 82 years. She was born in Barrington, Yates county, on Jan. 2, 1844, the daughter of Benjamin Osborn and Deborah Paulding. Later she went to Altay to the home in which she died, where she spent several years teaching school.
On Oct. 9, 1897, she was married to Alfred F. Brown who died Dec. 19, 1925. She was a member of the Altay Baptist church where she was a faithful worker, until a few years ago, when sickness kept her at home.
She is survived by one brother, John Osburn, who lives in the west; three nieces and three nephews, also a great many friends, who will sadly miss her. The funeral was held in the Altay Baptist church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. J. C. Murphy of Killawog, officiating. The burial was in the Altay cemetery.

George Lee Scutt, a well known resident of Painted Post, died at 8:30 o'clock Thursday evening, April 12, 1928, at his home after an illness of five days of bronchial pneumonia.
A native of Barrington, Yates County, Mr. Scutt was the son of Mary Jane and Henry A. Scutt and was born March 13, 1870. When he was eight years of age, the family moved to Coopers Plains, where Mr. Scutt resided until 1913.
On May 23, 1892 he was married at Coopers Plains to Elizabeth Hitchcock and during their years of residence there Mr. and Mrs. Scutt gained the highest esteem of a wide circle of friends.
Moving to Painted Post 15 years ago, Mr. Scutt accepted a position at the Ingersoll-Rand Plant where he had been employed as machinist since that time. His fidelity to duty, his dependability, and his efficient workmanship commanded the respect of fellow employees and superiors. Highly regarded by business associates and neighbors, Mr. Scutt nevertheless will be most keenly missed within the family circle. His devotion to his loved ones was expressed in a never failing thoughtfulness for their happiness.
He was an attendant at the Methodist Episcopal Church. Besides his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Scutt, he leaves two daughters and four sons, Mrs. Helen Dickinson, of Corning, and Miss Emma Scutt, at home, Homer, at Painted Post, Donald, Judson L., and Olin, at home; his mother, Mrs. Jane Scutt of Coopers Plains; a sister, Mrs. Jennie Gore of Bridge street, Corning and a brother, Judson II. Scutt of Hasel street, Corning.
The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon with a prayer at the late home, 456 West High street, Painted Post at 2 o'clock and services at the Painted Post Presbyterian Church at 3:30 o'clock. The Rev. Carl J. Grabb, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Coopers Plains Cemetery.

Calvin J. Huson Dies at His Home in Yates County
Penn Yan, Dec. 17 - Former Commissioner of Agriculture of the State of New York, Calvin J. Huson, died at his home, in the town of Torrey, Yates County, about five o'clock, Saturday afternoon, December 15th, after an illness of some duration.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Ross Huson, of Torrey, one daughter, Mrs. Paul Hoffman of Hamberg, NY and one sister, Miss Jennie M. Huson, of Penn Yan.
The funeral services will be held from the late residence in Torrey, Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 18, at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Samuel G. Houghton, pastor of the Methodist Church, of Penn Yan, officiating. Interment in Lake View Cemetery.
Mr. Huson was born in the town of Barrington, Yates county, his parents being David and Margaret Huson. After graduating from the Penn Yan Academy, he commenced the study of law, being associated with the law firm of Briggs and Knox. He was admitted to the bar in 1876, and became one of the most influential members of the bar of Yates county, enjoying a large and lucrative practice. He was associated in the case of the Deanhart Brothers, George and Gerome, being tried in Yates county, charged with murder, first degree, in the shooting of Jerome Cobley, a young farmer residing in Middlesex, securing a verdict of murder in the 2nd degree.
Mr. Huson had the distinction of having an honor cont..... upon few Democrats in the county in 1899, that of ele...?., as Member of Assembly, in a rock-ribbed Republican stronghold of "Little Yates" and in ....was appointed journal clerk. He was appointed Deputy Comptroller of the State of New York, under Frank Campbell of Steuben County. He was appointed by Governor Dix, on January 16, 1912, Commissioner of Agriculture, of the State of New York, succeeding Raymond Pearson (sp?), with much acceptance. Retiring, he was later named State Fair Commissioner.
Returning to Penn Yan he had took up the practice of law, coming associated with John ???land, the firm name being Huson & Hyland.; for a number of years the firm was the attorney for the village of Penn Yan.
Mr. Huson held his residence in the town of Torrey, up to the time of his death on the Huson farm, known as "Kalorama" and has always been interested in the breeding of fine swine making specialty of the Berkshire swine. ..................[article cut off ]

Henry Wortman of Dundee, R.F.D. 1, is executor of the estate of his father, Amos P. Wortman, who died in Barrington on June 12, leaving a will dated Sept. 9, 1927. The estate exceeds $16,000 in personal property and amounts to $2,500 in realty. Married 50 Years Ago - Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Guiles Observe Anniversary -
Thirty-two guests gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Guile on Tuesday evening, in honor of the 50th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Guile, who were married 50 years ago in the town of Barrington, by Rev. C. M. Bruce, pastor of the Second Milo Baptist Church.
Mrs. Guile was Hattie Finton, daughter of George W. and Martha Finton, and was born in the town of Barrington, Yates County. Mr. Guile was born in the town of Milo, the son of Perry A. and Celica Lawrence Guile.
Following their marriage December 1, 1881, which took place at the home of Mrs. Guile's parents, on the occasion of the christening of the new home which had been erected by Mr. and Mrs. Finton, the couple lived in Barrington until 1905, when they removed to Penn Yan. In 1908, Mr. Guile, with his brother-in-law, T. W. Windnagle, purchased the Pratt basket
factory, and they have conducted that plant since then.The attendants at the wedding of the couple who have. traveled life's path for 50 years in contentment and harmony, were Charles B. Guile and Hattie Kellogg, who, since have become man and wife and reside in Geneva, N. Y.
Many beautiful floral gifts and personal greetings were received by the couple as they presided at the informal dinner given in honor of the occasion at their home. The decorations of the dining room were gold and golden yellow, the chrysanthemums and candles all harmonizing in corresponding shade.
Among the guests present were Dr. A. H. Norton, of Keuka College; Dr. R. E. Farrier, of Ridgewood, N. J.; and Rev. and Mrs. G. A. Beers, of Pulteney.
Mr. and Mrs. Guile have two daughters, Miss Ruth Evangel Guile, at home, and Mrs. David B. Ayres (Esther Aileen Guile) of Geneva, N.Y., also two grandsons, David Bruce and Charles Fenton Ayres, sons of Mr. and Mrs. David B. Ayres.
Rev. Beers, one of the guests at the dinner, wrote the following poem in honor of the occasion:
Well, wife, it doesn't seem to me,
That we have lived so long and well,
But, as I look at that old Book
The figures surely, tell.
Today, they say, that you and me
Have walked together 50 years;
Have built our home, have sailed life's sea,
And shared our love and trust and fears.
It does net seem as long as this,
Our years have passed so sweetly by;

Most graciously have we been spared

And many friendships we have shared,
And home, to us, has been a haven.

Barrington Man is 95 Years Old - Daniel L. Ellis, Retired Farmer, Oldest of 4 Children and Last One Living -
DUNDEE, Jan. 5 - Daniel L. Ellis, one of the oldest residents of the town of Barrington, quietly passed his 95th birthday on Tuesday at the home of his son, William C. Ellis. Mr. Ellis enjoyed good health until a few weeks ago, but is still able to be up in his chair most of the time.
Mr. Ellis was born January 2, 1839 in the town of Barrington, Yates County. When two years ago, his parents moved to Orange County, traveling in a covered wagon. Later they arrived in Livingston County, and Wayne and Tyrone or West Tyrone which is now Weston.
When Mr. Ellis was 17, his father and mother died within a year. He then came to the Town of Starkey to reside.
When about 30, he married Miss Augusta. Briggs of Starkey and went to live in Tyrone. Two years later, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis purchased the home of her parents, the Briggs farm in Starkey Township and moved there. This now being owned by a granddaughter.
About 20 years ago, Mr. Ellis retired from active farm labor and came to Dundee to reside. Mrs. Ellis died in 1910. For the past several years, Mr. Ellis has made his home with his son.
Mr. Ellis is the oldest of four children and the only one now living. Besides his son, he has one daughter, Mrs. Myrtie Knapp of Bridgeport. Conn.

Penn Yea, May 10 - Miss Kathleen A. Vinall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Vinall of Court street, and James Francis Carson of Geneva were married at 8:30 this morning in St. Michael's church by the rector, Rev John G. Killen. The bride wore navy blue crepe with bronze trimming, hat and shoes to match, and carried yellow roses and forget-me-nots.
Her bridesmaid was her sister, Miss Isabel Vinall who was attired in bronze crepe with brown trimming and accessories to match. She carried an arm bouquet of bronze snap dragons. Martin Flahive was best man.
The Lohengrin wedding march was played by the church organist, Frank Reilly. The wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride after which the couple started on a wedding trip to Buffalo and Canada and on their return will live In Penn Yan where the groom is a member of the real estate firm of Vinall and Carson.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence L. Johnson who were also married this morning, and the quartet will travel together through Canada.

Penn Yan, July 5 - Letters testamentary have been issued in Yates County Surrogate's Court on the estate of Ira N. Clark, who died in Barrington on May 24th, leaving a will dated Dec 11, 1931. The executor is Ira L. Clark, a nephew, of Barrington. Estate consists of $2000 personal property. To a brother, George W. Clark, of Branchport, is left $50; and the remainder to two nephews, Ira Clark executor, and Myron O. Clark, of Dundee.
Letters testamentary issued to Joseph Hutchins, executor, of Dundee, on the estate of Archibald Hutchins, who died on May 13, leaving an estate valued at $500 personal and $500 real property. The will, dated Sept. 25, 1933, directs that a son, Addison, of Rushville and daughter Gladys, share the estate.
Letters testamentary issued to Anna Prosser, a widow, and Clara Prosser Fitzwater, daughter, on the estate of James E. Prosser, who died in Jerusalem, who died June I5th, leaving a will dated Nov. 20, 1920. Estate consists of $10,000 personal and $1,000 real property. The widow received the life use of the estate and at her death will be shared by Mary A. Burk, daughter, of Branchport, and Clara M Prosser Fitzwater, of Ithaca.

Fred Jayne, 54, died Saturday, Sept. 28,1036, at his family home at Reading Center, after an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lula Jayne; a son, Elmo; a sister, Mrs. Hattie Gibbs of Milo. Mr. Jayne was born June 16,1882 and on Jan. 29,1814, he was married to Miss Lula Andrews. He was a member of the Baptist church at Barrington, Yates County and the Reading Grange, Mr. Jayne was a well known highway worker and a former employee of the Shepard Crane Company.
He had resided in Reading Center 20 years. The funeral was held in the family home at 2 p. m. The Rev. Wayland L. Beers officiated. Burial in the Reading Center Cemetery.

Two barns and a tool shed in the town of Barrington, Yates County, owned by Charles Tuttle were destroyed by fire when one of the buildings was struck by lightning. The Dundee Fire Department was summoned but the structures were far beyond saving when the firemen arrived. The fire was about 12 miles from Dundee. A quantity of hay and some tools were destroyed in the blaze.

George C. Taylor, former resident of Penn Yan, died at Marino Hospital, New York City, after several months' illness. He was born in Barrington, Yates County, and spent his early years in Penn Yan and vicinity, and later years in Panama and Costa Rica. He had been employed by Grace Steamship Company.
Surviving are three children, Mrs. Walter Conklin, of Penn Yan; Elizabeth, of New York City; Roger, of Newark, N. J.; one granddaughter, Joan Conklin; his wife, Mary, and daughters, Peggy and Fanny, of New York City; two brothers, Leon Taylor, of Penn Yan; J. Parker Taylor, of Tenafly, N. J.; one sister, Miss Fanny Taylor, Penn Yan. Funeral services and burial were in New York City.

Joseph F. Morse. 53, well known veteran employee of the Ingersoll-Rand Company, died at 1 o'clock this morning at his home, 453 West High street, Painted Post.
Mr. Morse suffered for more than four years from a heart condition, which became worse on Sunday. Monday, however, he was much improved, but he was suddenly stricken at 10:30 o'clock Monday night and death came at 1 a.m. He was born March 22, 1888 in the Town of Barrington, Yates County, the son of Samuel T. and Sarah Morse Morse. At Dundee on January 7, 1913, he was married to Blanche Kenyon of Dundee. They moved to Painted Post where they resided 24 years. Mr. Morse being employed by the Ingersoll-Rand Company during that time.
Mr. Morse was employed in the plant for several years but since his illness, he served as a watchman. Friends admired him for his patience and fortitude during the period of ill health and for his genial manner. Both with fellow-employees, and officials, Mr. Morse was one of the most popular men of the I-R here, and he counted most of Painted Post within his circle of devoted friends.
He belonged to the Painted Post Methodist Church and to the Ingersoll-Rand Service Club.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Sarah Morse, Dundee; his wife; one daughter. Dorotha and a son, Lynn, not at home; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Colburn of Dundee and Mrs. Wendell Carroll of Penn Yan; two brothers, Robert Morse of Painted Post and Merton Morse of Dundee; and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Ryal Funeral Home, where friends are invited to call from 7 to 3:30 o'clock this evening and from 3 to 4 o'clock and 7 to 9:30 o'clock Wednesday. Members of the family will be there to receive visitors.
The funeral will be held from there Thursday at 3:30 p. m. The Rev. Lee E. Vaughn, pastor of the Painted Post Methodist Church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. C. W. Vandenbergh, pastor of the Painted Post Baptist Church. Burial will be in the family plot of Fairview cemetery, Painted Post.

DEWITT - At Auburn City hospital, March 21, Mrs. DeWitt, 75, of Dundee. She was visiting at the home of her son, Charles, in Auburn, and fractured her hip in a fall, February 18. Pneumonia developed, resulting in her death. She was a native of Barrington, Yates County, and had spent the greater part of her life in that town.
Surviving are two sons, George and Charles, of Auburn; a grandson, Milton, of Dundee; a sister, Mrs. William
Morse, of Dundee; several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, March 21, at the Vrooman funeral home, Dundee, Rev. C .C. Conrad, of Wayne, officiating. Burial in Lake View cemetery, Penn Yan.

SUNDERLIN - At her home in Portland, Wednesday, May 5, Mrs. Edith Sunderlin, 66.
She was born in Barrington, Yates County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Crosby, and spent the greater part of her life in this community. Her husband, the late George Sunderlin, was employed for several years in the T. O. Hamlin Dry Goods store.Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Dorothea Gage, Cortland; Mrs. Ruth Freeman, New York City; one sister, Mrs. Floyd Lamont, Penn Yan. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Lamont funeral home, 221 Clinton Street. Rev. R. N. Jessup, pastor at the Baptist Church, officiating. Burial in Lake View cemetery.

Dr. Matthew Long III, Dies In Penn Yan -
Penn Yan, June 6 - Dr. Herbert Wood Matthews died at his home 136 Elm street, this morning after an extended illness. He was born November 27, 1872, in the Town of Barrington, Yates County, son of Amos and Eunice Wood Matthews. He was graduated from Starling Medical College, Ohio, and did post-graduate work in Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia, and practiced medicine in North Dakota for eight years before coming to Penn Yan, 26 years ago. He was forced to give up his practice 12 years ago due to ill health.
He served in World War as captain and was discharged as brigade surgeon of the 181st Depot Brigade, Camp Grant, 111. He was a member of Penn Yan Presbyterian Church, Johnson-Costello Post, American Legion, and New York State Medical Society.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mary Hobkirk Matthews; three nieces, Mrs. Fred Davies, Ohio, Mrs. Leroy Wolf and Mrs. Fred Muehelberg, both of Philadelphia, Pa.; two nephews, Captain Herbert M, Matthews, who sailed for the Pacific area yesterday, and Ernest Matthews of Cameron.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 from the Matthews family residence. Rev. Walter A. Henricks, pastor of the Presbyterian Church , will officiate and burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Military services will be conducted by the American Legion post.

Justice Smith, Native of Yates, Dies at Bath -
Bath, Dec. 1 - (AP) - Edwin C. Smith, retired state supreme court justice and Steuben county Republican leader, died yesterday at his home after an attack of coronary thrombosis. He was 96. Smith was born in Barrington, Yates county, Dec. 15, 1870, and attended high school in Bath and Hammondsport. Following study at Albany law school, he was admitted to the bar in 1897 and started practice in Addison, Steuben county.
Elected supervisor in 1905 from the town of Addison, he left that post to accept Gov. Frank W. Higgins' appointment as district attorney and remained in that position until 1913. He served as Steuben' county surrogate from 1918 until Jan. 1, 1929 when he began his term as supreme court justice retiring in 1935.
Surviving are his wife, the former Rose Lattimer of Addison, and two sons, Col. George Smith, USA, and Edwin F. Smith of Bath.

Dr. MacDowell Dies in Dundee - Rites Saturday - Former Coroner Had Been Active In Many Fields -
Penn Yan, Jan. 2d - One of the county's best known and beloved physicians, died yesterday at his home in Dundee.
Dr. James P. MacDowell, 70, native of the Town of Barrington, Yates county, but he continued to attend to his practice until shortly before his death.
The body is at the Sargent & Oughterson funeral home in Dundee, where friends may call. Funeral will be held there Saturday, at 2 pm, Rev. Kenneth Hicks, Dundee Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside cemetery, Dundee.
His parents were Frank and Delia Parker MacDowell. He is a graduate of Dundee High school, and University of Vermont medical school. He received his degree of Doctor of Medicine in 1904. Before coming to Dundee in 1912, he practiced in Middletown Springs, VT.
Dr. MacDowell had served as coroner and health officer and was Dundee school physician at the time of his death.

Mrs. Ada Vreeland Funeral Planned - Seneca Falls - Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Vreeland, 58, Stone Rd, Fayette will be at 2 pm, Tuesday
in the Sanderson Funeral Chapel. The Rev. J. Harold Riggle, pastor of the First Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo.
Mrs. Vreeland died Friday in Waterloo Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient for two weeks. She had suffered a long illness. Born in Barrington, Yates County, she had lived in Fayette 30 years.
She is survived by her husband, Lee W. Vreeland; her mother, Mrs. Josie E. Ovens, Dundee; two daughters, Miss Cecilia G. Vreeland, Fayette and Mrs. Helen L. Seybert, Albuquerque, N. M.; 3 sons, Aaron (of) Fayette; George T. (of) Varick, and James, (of) Newark, NY; a brother, Adrian O. Ovens, Dundee, and a grandson.

BATH - Mrs. Effie Taylor Smith, Bath RD 2, died at her home Saturday. She was 91 years of age. She was the widow of Amasa C. Smith and the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Spears Taylor. She was born September 22, 1862 in the town of Barrington, Yates County.
She is survived by a son, Gerald, and one daughter, Alberta Smith, both of Bath, RD 2, a stepson, Leland Smith, Wayne, two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Sisson, Penn Yan, and Mrs. Mary Best, and several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Bond Funeral Home at Hammondsport where friends may call and where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p. m. The Rev. Florence Perry will officiate and burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

Mrs. Nellie Vaughn Services Monday - DUNDEE - Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie G. Vaughn, 85, Dundee, will be held at Sargent & Oughterson funeral home at 2 p.m. Monday.
The Rev. Benjamin Disbrow, pastor of the Baptist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee.
Mrs. Vaughn died at her farm home, Dundee RD, Thursday afternoon, after a long illness. Friends may call at the funeral home.
She was born in the Town of Barrington, Yates County. For the past 45 years she had resided at her farm home. She was the widow of Wade Vaughn. For the past 50 years she has been a member of Dundee Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Oscar, at home; a brother, Fred Gardener, Dundee RD and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Hulda Meeks, 81, Dies in Penn Yan - Penn Yan - Funeral services for Mrs. Hulda Meeks, 81, 413 Liberty street, will be held at 2:30 pm, Sunday at Thayer Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Earl W. Chapin, Batavia, will officiate. Interment will be in Dundee Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel today and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mrs. Meeks died this morning. She was born in the Town of Barrington, Yates County, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Morris Loomis. She had made her home in Penn Yan with her son, Augustus, for the past 10 years. She was the widow of Frank Meeks. Her son is the only survivor.

Mrs. Flora Wortman - DUNDEE
Mrs. Flora J. Wortman, 67, 91 Hollister St., died suddenly in the Soldiers and Sailors Hospital, Penn Yan, Friday. Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Dundee Baptist Church. The Rev. Benjamin Disbrow, pastor, and the Rev. Hugh Winton, Dundee, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery, Dundee. Friends may call at the Sargent Oughterson Funeral Home until Monday noon.
Mrs. Wortman was visiting her son, John, at 205 Water St., Penn Yan, when she was stricken. She was born in the township of Barrington, Yates County, June 27, 1881. She attended Dundee High School and married Chancey B. Wortman, Jan 14, 1909.
She had lived the last 35 years in Dundee. For the past 40 years she was a member of the Dundee Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years
Mrs. Wortman is survived by her husband; one daughter. Mrs. Karl Seaman, Penn Yan RD; one son, John, Penn Yan; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Giavelli, Mt. Vernon and Mrs. Leons Chambers, Dresden; four brothers, Walter, Grant and Melvin Howell all of Dundee and Theodore (Ted) Howell, Penn Yan; three grandchildren and two great grand children.

Mrs. Cora M. Netterberg - Dundee, Funeral services for Mrs. Cora M. Netterberg, 83, who died in Dundee, Monday, will be at 2 pm tomorrow at Sargeant and Oughterson Funeral Home. The Rev. William Thomas, pastor of Dundee Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. Mrs. Netterberg was born in Barrington, Yates County, April 24, 1877. Most of her life was spent in Dundee. She was a member of the Dundee Methodist Church. There are no survivors.
Mrs. Cora B. Reynolds - Funeral services for Mrs. Cora B. Reynolds, 90, will be at 11 am, tomorrow, Serveant (s/b Sargeant) and Oughterson Funeral Home. The Rev. William Thomas of Dundee Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery.
Mrs. Reynolds died Monday in Dundee. She was born in Schuyler County, February 16, 1870 and has lived in Dundee for the last 20 years. She was a member of the Dundee Methodist Church. She is survived by one sister, Miss Minnie Boardman, Dundee.

40 Years Ago (1929) - Mrs. Mary Winnek and Mrs. Elizabeth Kennedy of this city, are planning to make a pilgrimage to France this summer to visit the graves of their sons, who lost their lives in World War I.

George Southworth, 84, of Slayton Road RD 2, Port Byron, New York, died Tuesday evening, February 10, 1987 at Auburn Memorial Hospital following a short illness.
Born in the Town of Barrington (Yates County) August 28,1902 the son of William and Mary Stanton Southworth. Mr. Southworth has lived in the Town of Conquest since 1941. He retired in 1967 as a mechanic for the former Schulers' Farms, Inc. where he was employed for over 25 years. In his earlier life he worked on construction for several different companies.
He was a former supervisor for the Town of Conquest serving three terms and also was a former tax collector. He was a member of the Countyside United Methodist Church. His wife, the former Irene Aldrich, died in 1983.
He is survived by; a son, George (Bo) Southworth of Auburn; two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Suzanne) Cheney of Auburn and Mrs. Delilah Francis of Ashtabula, Ohio; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Family services will be 8 p.m. Friday evening, February 13, 1987 at the Jewell Funeral Home, South Street, Cato with the Rev. Gregor Dike, Pastor of Countryside United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Conquest Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
Those wishing are asked to make contributions in memory of Mr. Southworth to the Cato Rescue Unit.
