drowned there along with his son January 19, 1835 while they were

Haven VT in about 1785 and was a resident of Malone by 1820. He died
January 28, 1844. His widow Rhoda Spencer Wheeler (b. about 1795 in
MA) applied for a pension after his death claiming he was in Capt.
Hickock�s Co. in 1813, but her claim was rejected because he does
not appear on any muster roll. They had married at Malone on March 7,
1816. In 1860, she was living in Malone with son Judson (b. 1831) and
daughter (in law?) Diadema (b. 1836) |

Wakefield in Moira in June 1815(?). He was still alive and living in
South Bombay in 1883. He had been drafted into Rufus Tilden�s
company of New York militia at French�s Mills (Ft. Covington). He
was one of the men who was captured at French�s Mills in 1812 and
sent as a prisoner of war to Montreal. He also later served in Capt.
Jared Winslow�s company as a substitute. He had been born in about
1796 in Vermont His wife was born in about 1805 in Vermont, according
to the 1860 census of Bombay, so either the census is wrong, or their
date of marriage is wrong. She may have been the daughter of Ebenezer
Wakefield of Dickinson/Moira. There were 2 children living with them
in the 1860 census: Albert born in NY in 1840; Chauncey born in NY in
1843 |

Claimed to be the first man to enlist in Hickock's Co. and that Samuel
Hyde was second. He had a brother Rufus who volunteered from VT. Lived
at Highgate VT in 1876. His daughter Lucy married Lewis Green of
Canton Mar. 24, 1843. |

NY. He was a St. Regis Mohawk and served as a scout under Capts.
Perry, Erwin and Tilden in 1813. Peter White died on September 12,
1824(1829?), but his wife was still alive and living in Hogansburg in
1883. She had been born in about 1799. |

Revolutionary War soldier and father of Adin Wood (q.v.) Lived in
Malone in 1810 -1840. Originally from St. Albans VT and settled in
Malone in 1802. He died Feb. 22, 1851 and is buried in Malone.
Children included Adin and Arunah of Malone, Enos of Hopkinton, Eri of
Murry NY, Mrs. Aseneth Hatch of Holly NY, and Almira(Mrs Nathan) White
of Malone. |
