Sept.11-20, 1814 born in Amherst MA 23 July 1773 and first came to Franklin Co. in 1800 and lived permanently in Burke by 1810 . He died August 31, 1847, and is buried at Thayer Cemetery. His wife Rena died Aug. 24, 1836 , aged 59. Had sons Walcott A. and Smith P. plus 2 who moved to MN, one in IL and one in Gouverneur by 1880.

born 4 Jan. 1781 in Richmond MA, son of Isaiah (d. 1823 ae 82) and Elizabeth Tilden and was an early settler in Moira. His company was captured at French's Mills (ie Ft. Covington) in 1812 and sent to Montreal as prisoners. Lived in Moira in 1810 -1830 and probably died in about 1838. Wife Sally d. May 5, 1848 ae 65 and is buried in Moira. May have had a son Horace Tilden living in Moira in 1840
