He served at French�s Mills (Ft. Covington) under Capt. Tilden in
1813 and died at Chateaugay on November 24, 1844 aged 70. His wife
Tamson (d. Mar. 6, 1872 ae 79)was living with Betsey Hill in Moira in
1860, and may have been the daughter of Samuel Drew of Chateaugay. A
son Alanson d. Aug. 1, 1841. Daughter Molly d. Feb. 26, 1841, ae 19.
He and his wife are buried at Sandy Knoll Cem. in Chateaugay
