Isaac Barrett built the grist-mill and saw-mill at Joachim, in 1830-32 for Lucien Murat, who was a nephew of Naipoleon. Isaac Barret married Patience Hudson and had 1, Francis settled in Clayton; 2, Enos; Sophia; Gennette; Hiram and Erastus.
A family of Baxter, of whom the daughter Emmeline became the 2d wife of Capt. John Hbover and a daughter Mehitable married) a Wilson from Cape Vincent
Henry Becker, born 1779, in Albany County, married Thankful Hillman and had Mary married as 2d wife Jacob Willson; Jacob married Julia Howe; Rev. George W. married Semantha Chadwick; Henry jr. born March 29, 1807.
Fortunatus Beebe, married Abigail Barrett. iHe died in Evans Mills, Jan. 12, 1852, age 75 years. Children: 1, Allison married Rebecca Hudson; 2, Soliman married Luanda Hunt; 3, Silas married Sally Deuell; 4, Harriet married ? – 5, Mary 6, Caroline Married – Loomis of Buffalo; 7, Eliza married (1) Pardon Miller, (2) Puffer.
Fikes, Jacob, born 1810, married Margaret Fiices (son of Henry and Jane) and had Nancy S. married Isaac Harter Henry J. married Eva Dickinson. Mary J. married Isaac .Harter; Catherine married Isaac Harter; Walter; Jacob M. Flodetta; Amos E.
Of the Hoovers in LeRay, there was Capt. John Hoover, Robert Hoover, Peter Hoover, Peter Hoover (called Short Pete to distinguish him) , Adam Hoover; Moses Hoover, Henry Hoover and Elizabeth, the wife of Robert Sixbury, all came in from the Mohawk Valley as early settlers. Peter J. Hoover (called Long Pete) married Gertrude Cypher and had 1, Peter, died unmarried; 2, Jacob, died unmarried; 3, Joseph, married Mary Friend; 4, Eli married Kate Walradt; 5, Jeremiah married Lucy Hart; 6, Mary married Jacob Sixbury; 7, Margaret married Moses Hoover; 8, Anna married Peter Ponchau; 9, Henry J. married Eliza Anthony; 10, Julia married Philip Snyder; 11, Luanda, died unmarried; 12, Alexander, died unmarried. Peter Hoover (Long Pete) son Henry and Elizabeth married Magdalene Bloodough and had: 1, Isaac; 2, Sarah married John Bacon; 3, Jacob A. married Eveline Medbury; 4, Catherine married Henry Walradt; 5, Qarissa married Abram Walradt; 6 Betsy C married Philfc Helmer; 7, Simeon married Caroline Shimell; 8, Silas unmarried; 9, Abram married Filetta Dorwin; 10, Mary married Geo. Enos Hudson, a Revolutionary soldier, died in Evans Mills, January 10, 1827, aged 68, married Patience Brown, and had: 1, Samuel Smed married Sally Field; 2, Rebecca married (1) Horton Otis, (2) Allison Beebe; 3, Patience married Isaac Barrett; 4, Abigail married Wm. Negus. Seth, born July 12, 1792. 6, JosiaJi married Rachel Stewart; 7, William married Catherine Timmerawn.
Jacob Kellar married Nancy Petrie, and had: 1, Reuben married Catherine Hekner; 2, John; 3, Moses; 4, Anna married Allom Baum; 5, Simon married Caroline -Hoover; 6, Aaron married Louisa Helmer; 7, Rosina married Jonas Petrie, jr.; 8, William married Lydia Sixbury; 9, Joseph married (1) Emily Waltz, (2) Susan Vefbber; 10, Charles, unmarried.
Joel Owens married Betsy Flint, and had: 1, John; 2, Harmoo; 3, Amanda married Hsarmon Vasbury; 4, Clarissa married Harmon Vasbury; 5, Judjson married (1) Maria Vaslwry, (2) Patty Otis; 6, Julia married C. M. DuflFy; 7, Charles married Adeline Bossohein; 8, Jane, unmarried.

Petrie born in Manheim, N.Y., 1787, married Dollie ____ and had: Nancy married Jacob Kellar; Polly married Jacob Hoover; Jonas married Betsy Hoover; James married Nancy Walradt; Joseph married (1) Maria Starring, (2) Pamela Starring, (3) . Children of Jonas and Betsy (Hoover) Petrie: 1, Sally married Jeremiah Mardi. 2, Anna married (1) Peter Wakadt, (2) Geo. Gleason; 3, George married Mary Hoover; 4, William married Martha Sixbury; 5, Jonas, jr. married Rosina Kellar; 6, Qiarles married (1) Emogene Helmer, (2) Rose A. Haap.

Joseph Pierce, born in Vt., married Lucinda Kelley, and bad: 1, Benjamin 2, Malvina married Ferdinand Brognard; 3, Joseph W. married Anna Crover; 4, Sampson married A. N. Burton; 5, Alphonse married Rose Simonds; 6, Sanah; 7, Francis, unmarried; 8, Wilhemina, unmarried; 9, Betsy married (1) Chauncey Wilkie, (2) John J. Kinney.
James Murphy, born in Herkimer county, married Mary Kizer, had 10 tall sons. Children: Thomas, born 1810; James; Levi, born 1813; Barney, Abraim, Henry, Alexander and Lysander (twins), Benjamin, Adam or Aaron.
Alfred Webber, born in Mass., married Sally Ensign and had: Pamela J. married Aaron Murphy; Susan married Joseph Kellar, jr.; Almeda married Eugene married . Perry O. H. married Mary Davis; Lamsa and Ellen, marriages unknown.
John Adam Walradt married Elizabeth Moyer and died in LeRay Feb. 27, 1831, age 58. He had 1, Daniel married Lany Helmer; 2, Henry married Catherine Hoover; 3, Charity married Jacob Rider; 4, Margaret married Peter Helmer; 6, Isaac married Anna Sixbury; 7, Abram married Clarissa Hoover; 8, Jacob married Hiarriet Crossett; 9, Charles married (1) Abi Starring, (2) Southwell; 10, Betsy married John Roof.
Robert Sixbury, born March 6, 1763; was an Indian hunter and tra{>per and was probably the first white settler in this vicinity at the age of 14. The organization of the town was in his lo|g cabin in 1804. He lived to the age of 109, dyhig in LeRay in 1872; married Elizabeth Hoover and had: 1, John marmied Barbara Mehl; Polly married Isaac Louis Cushman; Betsy married Ahi Shattuck; Jacob married Mary Hoover; Alexander married A. Croissant; Anna married Isaac Walradt; Isaac married Caroline Fikes; Almira married Joseph Bichet.
Jacob Willson came from Johnstown to LeRay, married (1) Vasti Rase, (2) Mary Becker, and had 14 children: 1, Willard married Kate Storer; Charles married Louisa Cook, Allen married Emily Spinning, Rhoda married Alvah Brownell, Sarah married (1) Zephaniah Walker, (2 J Cain- Benson as 2d wife; Henry married Susan Brown, Emily married Jacob Hollinbeck, Electa married Qinton Brownell; Nelson married (1) Axa Lawrence, (2) Anna Thompson, John G. married Amelia Briggs, Mary married Eli Timmerman, Homier G. married Harriet Snell, Daniel, unmarried, Edwin, tmmarried.
