HERBERT P. BISSELL is a lawyer of distinguished ability, a leading citizen of Buffalo and a man prominent in political life and public affairs. John Bissell came from England and was one of the settlers of Windsor, Connecticut. Noah Bissell, grandfather of Herbert P. Bissell, was a resident of Vermont, whence he removed to New London, Oneida County, N. Y., in the early part of the last century. He was a farmer and a well-known man and influential citizen.
